Assisted GLONASS Data

Assisted GLONASS (A-GLONASS) data are now available to GDGPS customers, to enhance the performance of GLONASS chipsets.

The GLONASS navigation message, the GLONASS broadcast ephemeris and the GLONASS Almanac are redundantly provided from all three GDGPS Operations Centers (GOCs). The GLONASS navigation message, bit-by-bit, is provided as a real-time UDP binary data stream. The broadcast ephemeris and Almanac are provided in RINEX-like file formats from the GDGPS sFTP servers with a few minute latency.

7-day GLONASS orbit and clock predictions are available in a variety of file formats. The key features of the GLONASS predicted orbit and clock product are:

  • 7 day prediction, 6 times daily, 15 minutes temporal resolution
  • Accuracy estimates are included for every epoch
  • Multiple file formats are available, including SP3c, RINEX Navigation, SUPL-2, and GIPSY
  • The prediction files are available through sFTP from multiple redundant servers

Expected median User Range Error (URE) performance after 7 day prediction: better than 10 m URE
